A map full of lines cannot tell you whether Lisbon, Austin, or Mexico City is the next place to explore.

Free maps are everywhere

You can generate an astrocartography chart for nothing in a dozen places. What none of them do is tell you which of the forty lines matter for the decision actually in front of you.

The question is a decision

You are not asking what your Venus line means in the abstract. You are asking whether to spend three months somewhere, and which somewhere.

Generic readings do not survive contact

A paragraph that would suit anyone cannot be weighed against rent, visas, and how far you would be from your family.

The shift

What you have now

  • Forty lines across a world map, colour-coded to nothing you recognise.
  • Contradictory paragraphs about what Saturn allegedly does to a city.
  • No way to compare the three places you are genuinely weighing.
  • A vague sense that somewhere would suit you better, and no next step.

What you leave with

  • Five cities, ranked for one stated goal, with the distance to each relevant line in kilometres.
  • For every city: what it may support, what it may demand, and one question to sit with.
  • Your own candidate cities scored on the same basis, side by side.
  • A seven-day plan for testing a place before committing to it.

One question decides your whole result

A city can be strongly supportive for one intention and demanding for another, so there is no universal best place and we do not calculate one. You choose the chapter first, and the ranking follows from it.

Love & connection

Places associated with partnership, meeting people, and being met.

Career & visibility

Places associated with public direction, recognition, and professional momentum.

Home & belonging

Places associated with roots, rest, family, and settling in.

Creativity & reinvention

Places associated with self-expression, experiment, and starting a new version of yourself.

Spiritual renewal

Places associated with reflection, meaning, healing, and slowing down.

What you actually get

Your map, your most activated theme, and one complete City Signal Card are free - enough to judge the quality of the analysis before you decide. The full Blueprint names and explains all five cities.

Your personal astrocartography map

Every planetary line calculated from your birth moment, drawn on an interactive world map you can pan, zoom, and filter down to the lines that matter for your goal.

A ranked shortlist of five cities

Not every city on earth. Five, drawn from 813 major cities across 168 countries, scored for the one thing you said you are trying to do next.

A signal card for each city

Which lines run near it, how close in kilometres, what that combination is traditionally associated with, and what it may ask of you in return.

Side-by-side comparison

Put your own candidate cities next to the shortlist across six dimensions, so you are comparing options rather than admiring a map.

A seven-day location experiment

Four days built from your actual strongest signals, three days of the practical checks - visas, budget, healthcare, climate - that decide whether a move is viable at all.

A birth-time confidence check

If your birth time is approximate, every city is re-scored across your uncertainty window, and only the ones that hold up make the list.

The method, in plain language

Astrocartography maps your birth chart onto geography. For any planet there are four places on earth where it was in a defining position at the moment you were born: rising on the eastern horizon, setting on the western, directly overhead, or directly underfoot. Join those places up and you get a line.

Those four positions carry the meanings astrologers give the chart angles. Rising relates to identity and how you come across. Setting relates to relationships and who you attract. Overhead relates to career and public direction. Underfoot relates to home, roots, and private life.

We compute the position of ten bodies at your exact birth moment, solve for where each was angular, measure how far each of 813 cities sits from those lines, and weight them against the goal you chose. Nothing about the scoring is hidden from you - every city card shows the lines, the distances, and the reasoning.

Why the numbers can be trusted

Positions
Computed with astronomy-engine, an open-source MIT-licensed ephemeris accurate to well under an arcminute - far finer than this application needs.
Verified geometry
The line solver is checked against the same library independently: every meridian line lands within 0.006° of the planet culminating, and every horizon line within 0.014° of true altitude zero.
Historical time zones
Your birthplace is resolved to coordinates and an IANA zone, so long-abolished offsets and wartime daylight saving are applied correctly rather than assuming today’s rules.
Auditable
Every report records its ephemeris version, interpretation-library version, coordinates, resolved UTC instant, and time-confidence level.

What this will never say to you

Not in this product

  • “You will meet your person here.”
  • “This city will make you wealthy.”
  • “Never move there.”
  • “Your chart proves this is your destiny.”

How it actually reads

  • “Often associated with…”
  • “This can feel supportive for… while also inviting…”
  • “Worth exploring if your current priority is…”
  • “Use this alongside practical research and your own experience.”

Intense placements - Mars, Saturn, Pluto, Neptune - are described as places to approach consciously, with what they may ask of you named directly. No location is labelled cursed, forbidden, or unsafe.

Questions worth asking first

Do I need an exact birth time?

It matters more here than in most astrology. All four angular line families sweep a full circle of longitude every twenty-four hours, so one hour of error moves every line about fifteen degrees - often more than a thousand kilometres. If your time is approximate, tell us how approximate and we re-run the whole calculation across that window, ranking only the cities that stay strong throughout. If you genuinely do not know your birth time, we will show you your chart and explain what we cannot honestly tell you, rather than inventing a shortlist.

Will this tell me where I must live?

No, and it is built specifically not to. Every city gets both a supportive reading and a harder one, and the seven-day plan spends three of its days on entirely non-astrological questions. Astrology here is a lens for generating candidates and questions, not a source of instructions.

What if I already have cities in mind?

Add up to five in the wizard. They are scored on the same basis as the shortlist and shown alongside it, so you can see how your existing options compare rather than being handed an unrelated list.

Can I use this for travel rather than moving?

Yes, and it is the lower-risk way to use it. The whole design assumes a scouting trip or a long stay before any irreversible decision.

Is my birth data private?

Your date, time, and place are stored only to generate and re-open your report. Marketing consent is asked separately from the consent needed to calculate, and you can delete your birth profile and report permanently from the report page itself.

Does this replace practical relocation research?

It does not. Work authorisation, budget, healthcare, tax, language, climate, safety, and proximity to the people you rely on will decide more about how a move goes than any line on this map. The report says so in the places where it matters.

You are not looking for a lucky city. You are looking for one that fits the chapter you are actually entering.
